Our mission statement is simple. To catalogue handy, reliable information about the planet’s foremost progressive metal band in such a way that any Dream Theater fan will be able to refer to it swiftly, and hence clarify the facts they thought they knew, confirm the facts they knew they knew, and perhaps teach them a few spots of trivia they never knew but always wondered about.
It’s constantly a work in progress – there’s no such thing as a complete quote database – and so we actively encourage you to send us as many submissions as possible. If you want to get involved, get involved! The more information, the better. But, a warning. We’re not here to editorialise, we’re here to present the information dispassionately and without bias. Any spin will belong to the quotes, and the quotes alone.
Incidentally, if you’re from a publication and we feel we’ve incorrectly cited content that belongs to you – many apologies! We intend to rely, as much as possible, on fair-use sources, and we always want to credit you, with the hope that through our references your publications, websites and brands will reach an even wider audience. That said, if you feel we have inadvertently infringed on any of your rights, then that is absolutely on us, and all you have to do is get in touch and we’ll remove it as quickly as possible. We aim to be entirely transparent, and have no interest in duplicating paid content for free. We will, therefore, be quoting neither from Lifting Shadows, album liner notes, nor from currently-in-print magazines.
